Dragon Boat Race Day, Bewl Water

Book a team for this year’s dragon boat race and donate your sponsorship to the NSPCC.
The NSPCC’s vision is of a society where all children are loved, valued and able to fulfil their potential
Sadly, many childhoods are far from happy. In the UK each week at least one child will be killed by a parent or carer, and 3,000 children will be physically abused.
The NSPCC runs 180 projects and services to help prevent abuse and enable children and young people to overcome the devastating effects. ChildLine receives thousands of calls every day.

Dragon Boat Racing is a lot of fun. As well as taking part in a minimum of 3 races during the day, there is also plenty of time to relax, explore the beautiful scenery of Bewl Water, and enjoy the entertainment! There will be bands playing, stalls and games for everyone to enjoy. Spectators and supporters are also welcome to come for the day.
How to enter
Terms of entry
1. Each team will have a crew of no more than 16 in any one race plus a drummer.
2. Minimum age is 16 years.
3. Entry arrangements for the team will be confirmed by the charity to which you have applied. Sponsorship forms will be sent upon receipt of completed entry form.
4. Each team must aim to raise at least £1,000 in sponsorship money.
5. The races will run from approximately 10.00am to 5.00pm.
6. There will be a minimum of 3 races per team on the day (weather permitting) and more for any team reaching the finals.
7. Details of where to assemble and where to register will be advised with confirmation of entry.
